G.S.K.A. CLASS Times (Iaeger Dojo)

  • 1. Karate Class Age 7 and Up (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:30) 35.00 Per Month Instructor Gehrig Justice
  • 2. Gymnastics Class (Wednesday 3:30 - 4:30, 5:00-6:00 and 6:00-7:00) 10.00 Per Session Instructor Bruce Wasserman

G.S.K.A. Information

The Gilbert Shotokan Karata Academy was founded in 1993 by Sensei Howie Harvery. At that time the G.S.K.A. was affiliated with the Japanese Karate Association. (JKA)

In 2000 Sensei Harvey moved away from the Gilbert area leaving the G.S.K.A. to Sensei Gehrig Justice. Sensei Justice has oversaw the day to day opperation of the G.S.K.A. since that time. In 2003 the G.S.K.A. became affiliated with the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association. (FSKA)

The G.S.K.A. teaches traditional Shotokan Karate as developed by Gichin Funakoshi. The pratice of Kihon, Kata and Kumite along with with a strong emphsis placed on both the Dojo and Niju Kun is the basis of the G.S.K.A. syllabus.

The G.S.K.A. moved to Iaeger, WV in June 2011.

The G.S.K.A. of Iaeger will sponsor several other classes including, Gymnastics, and Zumba classes.
